Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Font of Choice – I used Bleeding Freaks
MuRa’s Meister – Copies
Distort – Ripple & Shear
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
MaskHalloween0905 and Mask349 by Vix

I used the awesome artwork of Michael Calandra
You can purchase his work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Michael’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 650 x 650
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer
Effects, Plugins, MuRa’s Meister – Copies
Choose the Encircle preset with these settings:

Adjust, Blur, Radial Blur

Effects, Plugins, Distort – Ripple

Repeat the Distort – Ripple with the same settings

Effects, Plugins, Distort – Shear

Select your crop tool and set both values to 425

Now position your square as close to the center as possible

Click OK to crop

Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for Vix_MaskHalloween0905 or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Rename Base Mask

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer – rename Tube
Position so the face is inside the mask area where it looks best
Duplicate and on the original, change the blend mode to Luminance (Legacy)
On the copy – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 10
Change the blend mode to Overlay
Apply the same mask to both Tube and Copy of Tube layers

Activate Base Mask
Duplicate and move the copy, so it’s between the two tube layer
Change the blend mode to Hard Light

Activate Raster 1, which should be empty
Flood fill with a complimentary color of choice
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask fro Disk
Look for Vix _Mask349 or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Rename Bottom Mask

Crop away ALL excess canvas
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible to a New Layer – rename Top Blur
If you don’t have this option
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Paste as a new layer – rename Top Blur
Increase the canvas size to 500 x 500, central placement selected
On Top Blur, apply the same Gaussian Blur as used on the Copy of Tube
Change the blend mode to Dodge or one that suits your tag
Reduce the opacity to 60

Grab your text tool and choose a font – I used Bleeding Freaks
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name and position where it looks best
When happy, convert to raster
Effects, 3D Effects, Inner Bevel

Duplicate and on the original – Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 2
On the copy, add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V&H: 2 / Opacity: 23 / Blur: 3.96 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Add your artists copyrights and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
All Done
