Falling Leaves

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
Animation Shop
Tube of Choice
Font of Choice – I used Fruitella
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
MaskHalloween2012-8NotHallow by Vix
Leaf Animation of Choice – I used Ani151 by Simone
IB-Maryline Cazenave-Oct2019-BT by LHD Scraps

I used the awesome artwork of Maryline Cazenave
You can purchase her work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Maryline’s work without purchasing a license first.
This is the Bonus Tube from Maryline for October 2019, so is only available until October 31st 2019

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 550 x 550 and flood fill with grey #929292
Open Frame3 and resize to 400 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Frame
Duplicate the Frame
On the original Frame layer – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 7

Select your Magic Wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Select inside the Copy of Frame
Selections, Modify, Expand by 5 pixels
Add a new raster layer – name it FB 1
Move this layer between the 2 frame layers
Flood fill with Black
Keep Selected
Add another new layer – name it FB2
Open a paper of choice – I used Paper1
Copy and paste into the selections
Selections, None

With FB2 the active layer
Change the blend mode to Luminance (Legacy)
Duplicate FB2 and rename the copy FB3
On FB3 change the blend mode to Screen

Open Ele12
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Moon
Position at the top of the Frame, with part outside the Frame

Duplicate the Moon and on the copy, apply a Gaussian Blur with a radius of 10
Change the blend mode to Screen
Activate FB3 – Selections, All, Float, Defloat, Invert
Selections, Load/Save Selection, Save Selection to Alpha Channel

Press delete on both Moon layers
Selections, None

Activate FB3 again
Open Ele2 and resize to 400 pixels high
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Tree
Position where it looks best
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 2 / H: 3 / Opacity: 55 / Blur: 11.88 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked
Selections, Load/Save Selection, Load Selection from Alpha Channel
Press delete on your Tree layer
Selections, None

Activate Copy of Moon
Open Ele1 and resize t o 400 pixel wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Fence
Position along the bottom of the Frame
Add the same drop shadow
Selections, Load/Save Selection, Load Selection from Alpha Channel
Press delete on your Fence layer
Selections, None

Open Ele9 and resize to 50%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Grass
Position in front of the fence, along the bottom
Duplicate and activate the original
Press Shift + G to open your Gamma Correction Tool
Set all 3 values to 0.70

Then apply a Gaussian Blur with a radius of 2
On the Copy of Grass apply the same drop shadow

Copy and paste you tube as a new layer – rename Tube
Resize if needed, I resized to 45%, all layers unchecked
Position so most of your tube is inside the Frame

Add the same drop shadow
Selections, Load/Save Selection, Load Selection from Alpha Channel
Press delete on your Tube layer
Selections, None

Add a new raster layer – name it Glass
Selections, Load/Save Selection, Load Selection from Alpha Channel
Selections, Invert
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 6: Text Selection – Glass
Choose the Clear – Gentle preset with these settings:

Selections, None

Activate the grey background layer
Open a paper of choice – I used Paper5
Resize to 618 pixels
Layers, Promote Background to Layer
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for Vix-MaskHalloween2012-8NotHallow or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Copy and paste as a new layer onto your main tag
Rename Mask

Activate the Frame
Add any extras you want outside the Frame
I used the pumpkin from the tube, resized to 35%
Add the same drop shadow

Select your text tool and choose a font – I used Fruitella
Set your foreground to null, background set to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name and position where it looks best
When happy, convert to raster
Effects, 3D Effects, Inner Bevel

Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Add the same drop shadow

Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Delete the grey background
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as jpg/png

To Animate
Unhide the grey background and flood fill with white
Selections, Load/Save Selection, Load Selection from Alpha Channel
Selections, Invert
Activate the (now) white background layer and press delete
Activate Mask layer and press delete
Selections, None

Activate FB1
Layers, View, Current Only
Unhide FB2 and FB 3
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Open up Animation Shop (AS)
Edit, Paste as a new animation

Staying in AS
Open your animation of choice – I used Ani151 by Simone
Check how many frames your animation has – the one I used has 34
Duplicate your tag back so it has the same number of frames
On the Ani – Edit, Select All, Copy
Back to your tag back – Edit, Select All, Paste in selected frame
Position where it looks best

Back to PSP
Layers, View, All
Hide FB1, FB2 and FB3
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Over to AS – Edit, Paste as a new animation
Duplicate so it has the same number of frames as your tag back
Edit, Select All, Copy
Activate the tag back
Edit, Paste into selected Frame
Line it up with the edges
View your animation
Save as a gif file
All Done
