Potion Master (in training)

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Font of Choice – I used Kite Script
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
MaskHalloween2012-8 by Vix
Creepy Corner Mini kit by Curious Creative Dreams

I used the awesome artwork of Maryline Cazenave
You can purchase her work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Maryline’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 550 x 550 and flood fill with white
Open (49) copy and paste as a new layer – rename Frame
Grab your Magic Wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Selections, Modify, Expand by 5 pixels
Add a new raster layer – rename it Frame Back
Copy and paste a paper of choice into selection – I used (5)
Selections, None
Move Frame Back below the Frame
Duplicate and on the copy, change the blend mode to Screen
Activate the Frame and add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 2 / H: 5 / Opacity: 41 / Blur: 5.94 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Activate the Frame
Open (20) and resize to 250 pixels high
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Bottle 1
Add the same drop shadow
Position to the right side of the center of the Frame

Open (41) and resize to 250 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Books
Position on the left side of the Frame
Add the same drop shadow

Open (16) and resize to 50%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Moon
Position towards the top of the frame where it looks best
Duplicate and on the copy – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 8
Change the blend mode to Screen and reduce the opacity to 75
On the original, add the same drop shadow

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer – rename Tube
Resize if needed, I resized to 55%, all layers unchecked
Position where it looks best and add the same drop shadow

Copy and paste the two bottle layer from your tube as a new layer
Resize to 35%, all layers unchecked
Position to the right side of Bottle 1, slightly overlapping it
Rename Bottle 2
Add the same drop shadow

Copy and paste the single bottle layer from your tube as a new layer
Resize to 35%, all layers unchecked
Position on top of the books and rename Bottle 3
Add the same drop shadow

Open (38), copy and paste as a new layer – rename Eyeball
Position at the base of your tube or where ever it looks best

Open (39), copy and paste as a new layer – rename Bottle 4
Position to the left side of Bottle 1
Add the same drop shadow

Activate the white background layer
Open a paper of choice and resize to 550 pixels – I used (7)
Copy and paste as a new layer
Open Vix-MaskHalloween2012-8
Image, Increase Canvas Size
Set the Width & Height BOTH to 700
Ensure your Background color is set to black and central placement is selected
On your Tag – Layers, New Mask, From Image
Find Vix-MaskHalloween2012-8 in the drop down menu
Source luminance: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group – rename Mask
Duplicate and on the copy change the blend mode to Overlay

Activate the top layer
Select your preset shape tool with these settings:
Shape: Ellipse / Anti-Alias & Create as Vector: Checked / Line style: Solid / Width: 5.00
Set your foreground to a random color, background set to null
Draw a circle round your tag area
Do Not Convert To Raster
Select your text tool and choose a font – I used Habitat Press
Set your foreground to null and your background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Position your cursor over the edge of the vector circle
When you get a +A) or +T) symbol, click and add your text
I wrote ‘POTION MASTER’
Position along the top of your circle
On your layer palette click the + sign on your active layer
On the indented layers, click the Eye on the Ellipse layer to hide it
Now Convert to Raster and add the same drop shadow

Delete the white background layer
Crop away ALL excess canvas
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible to a New Layer
If you DO NOT have this option
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Paste as a new layer
Rename Top
Image, Increase Canvas Size, set it to 550 x 550, central placement
Apply the same Gaussian Blur as used earlier
Change the blend mode to Overlay and reduce the opacity to 63

Select your text tool again and choose another font – I used King Basil Lite
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name and position where it looks best
When happy, convert to raster
Effects, 3D Effects, Inner Bevel

Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Add the same drop shadow

Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
All Done
