Falling Angel

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Fonts of Choice – I used Impact, Nostalgia Script and Bambi
Eye Candy 5: Impact – Glass
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
RD Mask 685,686 & 687 by Rachel
IB-MichaelCalandra_26-1 by Chaos Priestess

Please do not use Michael’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 550 x 550 and flood fill with grey #929292
Open El22 and resize to 450 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Word BG
Duplicate and on the copy – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – Radius set to 3
Rename the copy Word BG Blur
Move this below Word BG on your layer palette

Open El14 and resize to 450 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Pink Flowers
Position towards the bottom of the Word BG layer
This is where mine is

When happy with the position, add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 4 / H: 6 / Opacity: 36 / Blur: 7.92 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Open El11, copy and paste as a new layer – rename Rose Ribbon
Move below the Pink Flowers, so the rose part is at the end of the Pink Flowers

Add the same drop shadow
Grab your Selection tool with these settings:
Selection type: Rectangle / Mode: Add (Shift) / Feather: 0 / Anti-Alias: Checked
Zoom in and select the rose, where it’s under the branch of the Pink Flowers

Selections, Promote Selection to Layer
On the original Rose Ribbon, press delete
Selections, None
Rename the Promoted Layer Rose Ribbon Top
Move this above the Pink Flowers on your layer palette

Open El12 and resize to 55%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Rose
Position so it’s partly behind the Pink Flowers, where you think it looks best
Add the same drop shadow

Open El107 and resize to 55%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Lights
Position below the Pink Flowers where they looks best
I only actually have one of the lights visible, but this is up to you

Open El09 and resize to 350 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Leaves
Position where it looks best behind the Pink Flowers
Add the same drop shadow

Activate Word BG Blur
Open El03 and resize to 450 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Glitter
Position towards the top of the Word BG layers
Add the same drop shadow

Activate Leaves
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer – rename Tube
Resize if needed, I left mine at 100%
Position where it looks best
Add the same drop shadow
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for RD_Mask686 or one of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Erase any of the masked tube you can see below the Pink Flowers

Activate Word BG
Duplicate and move the copy above the tube layer
Change the blend mode to Soft Light and reduce the opacity to 25

Activate the Grey background layer
Add a new raster layer – name it Mask 1
Selections, All
Open a paper of choice – I used Paper4
Copy and paste into the selection
Selections, None
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for RD_Mask685 or one of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group

Add another new raster layer above Mask 1, name it Mask 2
Selections, All
Open another paper of choice – I used Paper2
Copy and paste into the selection
Selections, None
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for RD_Mask687 or one of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Resize to 95%, all layers Unchecked

Add another new raster layer above Mask 3, name it Mask 3
Selections, All
Open another paper of choice – I used Paper1
Copy and paste into the selection
Selections, None
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for RD_Mask686 or one of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Resize to 95%, all layers Unchecked

Activate the top layer on your layer palette
Select your text tool and choose a bold font – I used Impact
Set your foreground to null, background set to white
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Type your word of choice – I wrote ‘ANGEL’
Position where it looks best above your tube
When happy, convert to raster – rename Text
Selections, All, Float, Defloat
Add a new raster layer – name it Glass
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 5: Impact – Glass

Selections, None
Change the blend mode on the Glass layer to Overlay and reduce the opacity to 71
On your Text layer reduce the opacity to 59

Activate the Glass layer and select your text tool again
Choose a script style font, I used Nostalgia Script
Keep your settings the same, changing the background color to a dark color (I used #3F3E3E)
Add your text, I wrote ‘falling’
Position where it looks best with your previous text
When happy, convert to raster – rename Text 2
Add the same drop shadow BUT change the H to 4

Choose another font, I used Bambi
Keep your settings the same, again changing the background color, if required (I used #DAD4D8)
Add your name and position where it looks best
When happy, convert to raster
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Add the same drop shadow as used on Text 2

Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Delete the grey background layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
All Done
