Almost Time…

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Fonts of Choice – I used Vanishing, Saint Hilton and Sweetie Bunny
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
TBT_Christmas_Mask19 by Tonya
IB-Maryline Cazenave_66-1 by Karmalized Scraps

I used the awesome artwork of Maryline Cazenave

Please do not use Maryline’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 550 x 550 and flood fill with grey #D4D0C8
Open Frame_01 and resize to 300 pixels high
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Right Frame
Duplicate and rename the copy – Top Frame
Activate Right Frame
Image, Free Rotate, Right by 8 degrees
Effects, Image Effects, Offset

Duplicate and rename the copy Left Frame
Image, Mirror
Effects, Image Effects, Offset

Activate Right Frame the active layer
Select your magic wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Select inside the Frame
Selections, Modify, Expand by 3 pixels
Add a new raster layer – name it Right Frame Fill
Copy and paste a paper of choice into the selection – I used Paper_05
Move Right Frame Fill Below Right Frame
Duplicate Right Frame Fill
Image, Mirror
Effects, Image Effects, Offset

Rename Copy of Right Frame Fill – Left Frame Fill
Make sure this is below Left Frame on your layer palette

Activate Left Frame Fill
Select your Change to Target brush

With these settings:
Shape: Square / Size: 500 / Hardness, Density, Thickness and Opacity: 100 / Step: 10 / Roatation: 0 / Mode: Color
Ensure your foreground is set to #D4D0C8
Click once on Left Frame Fill
Now repeat this step on Left Frame, Right Frame Fill and Right Frame
On Left Frame add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V&H: 4 / Opacity: 36 / Blur: 4.95 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked
Add the same drop shadow to Right Frame

Activate Top Frame
Select inside with your Magic Wand (same settings)
Selections, Modify, Expand by 3 pixels
Add a new raster layer – name it Top Frame Fill
Copy and paste the same paper into the selection
Selections, None
Move Top Frame Fill below Top Frame
On Top Frame, add the same drop shadow as used on the previous frames

Activate Left Frame (this should be directly below Top Frame Fill)
Open Element_13
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Clock
Position so the top part of the clock is higher than the Top Frame, with only part of the clock face visible

Add the same drop shadow as used on the Frame layers
Don’t worry about the bottom of the Clock we will deal with that later

Activate Top Frame
Open Element_15 and resize to 50%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Sack
Position at the base of Top Frame on the left, so it covers the bottom part of the Clock

Add the same drop shadow

Activate the Clock and erase an excess
I selected the area to be deleted on the screen shot

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer – rename Tube
Resize if needed, I resized to 60%
Position where it looks best and add the same drop shadow
If your tube is higher than your frame (like mine)
Grab your Selection Tool with these settings:
Selection type: Rectangle / Mode: Add (Shift) / Feather: 0 / Anti-Alias: Checked
Select the part that is covered by the frame

Selections, Promote Selection to Layer
On the original tube layer, Press Delete
Selections, None
On the Promoted Selection, move below Top Frame
Erase any excess tube that is left above the frame

Open Element_20 and resize to 50%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Present
Position where it looks best, I moved below my tube and placed on the right
Add the same drop shadow

Activate Top Frame
Open Element_14 and resize to 350 pixels high
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Sign
Position on the edge of the Frame
Add the same drop shadow
Erase any excess pole you can see below your tube/present layers

Activate the Grey background and add a new raster layer – rename Mask
Selections, All
Open a paper of choice – I used Paper_06
Copy and paste into the selection
Selections, None
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for TBT_Christmas_Mask19 or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to canvas and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Reapply the mask with the same settings
Layers, Merge, Mege Group
Resize to 90%, all layers unchecked

Activate Top Frame
Select your text tool and choose a bold style font – I used Vanishing
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your text of choice – I wrote ‘ALMOST’
Position along the base of the Top Frame
When happy, convert to raster – rename Text 1
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V&H: 2 / Opacity: 36 / Blur: 4.95 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Change to a script style font – I used Saint Hilton
Change your background to another color of choice, leave the other settings the same
Add the rest of your text – I wrote ‘time for santa’
Position over Text 1 where it looks best
Add the same drop shadow BUT change the color to that of Text 1

Choose another font (or keep the same one) – I used Sweetie Bunny
Change your background color (if needed) all other settings the same
Add your name and position where it looks best
When happy, convert to raster – rename Name
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
Use the color from text 1 as your glow color

Add the same drop shadow as used on Text 2 BUT set the color to Black

Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Delete the grey background
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
All Done
