Snowfall

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
Animation Shop
Tube of Choice
Font of Choice – I used Georgina Script
Mask1, Gothic Mask7 and ChristmasMask20  by Tonya
Eye Candy 4000  Gradient Glow
Winter Fantasy kit by Foxys Designz
Snow Animation of Choice – I used Ani13 from Pkg4 by René

I used the awesome artwork of Enys Guerrero
You can purchase her work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Enys’ work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 550 x 550 and flood fill with grey #454545
Open Element44 and resize to 475 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Flowers
Image, Mirror
Open Element32 and resize to 475 pixels wide
Copy and paste as new layer – rename Wind
Image, Mirror
Move up slightly so the top is level with the top flower
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V&H: 2 / Opacity: 47 / Blur: 3.96 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Open Eelement37 and resize to 450 pixels high
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Tree
Move over to the right slightly
Add the same drop shadow BUT change the blur to 6.93

Open Element23 and resize to 450 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Snow 1
Move down on the canvas so the lowest part is closer to the base of the canvas

Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 4

Open Element24 and resize to 450 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Snow 2
Position over the top of Snow 1

Activate Snow 1 and duplicate – rename the copy Cloud
Image, Flip
Adjust, Blur Gaussian Blur – radius set to 8
Position towards to the top of the canvas
Move below the Flowers layer on your layer palette

Activate the Wind layer
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer – rename Tube
Position so it’s partially hidden by the Tree
Add the same drop shadow as used on the Tree
Erase any tube you can see below the Snow layers
Duplicate and on the copy – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 6
Change the blend mode to Overlay and reduce the opacity to 59

Open Element33 and resize to 450 pixels
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Snow 3
Position towards the bottom part of your tube
Add the same drop shadow BUT change the Blur to 3.96

Open a paper of choice – I used Paper11
Press Shift + G to open the Gamma Correction
Set all 3 values to 0.40
This will make your paper darker
Edit, Copy
On your tag, activate the grey background layer
Add a new raster layer and name it Mask 1
Selections, All
Paste the paper into the selection
Selections, None
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for TBT_ChristmasMask20 or mask of choice
Soure luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Resize to 90%, all layers unchecked

Open another paper of choice – I used Paper6
Edit, Copy
On you tag add another new layer – rename Mask 2
Selections, All
Paste the paper into the selection
Selections, None
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for TBT_Gothic_Mask7 or mask of choice
Soure luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Resize to 90%, all layers unchecked
Duplicate this mask – rename Mask 3
Layers, Arrange, Bring to Top – Change the blend mode to Soft Light

Open another paper of choice – I used Paper2
Edit, Copy
Activate the grey background layer and add a new raster layer – name it Mask4
Paste the paper into the selection
Selections, None
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for TBT_Mask1 or mask of choice
Soure luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Resize to 90%, all layers unchecked

Activate Mask 3 (which should be your top layer)
Select your text tool and choose a font – I used Georgina Script
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name and position where it looks best
When happy, convert to raster
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V&H: 2 / Opacity: 47 / Blur: 3.96 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Add the same drop shadow again BUT change the V&H to -2 (minus 2)

Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Delete the grey background layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png

To Animate
Add a new raster layer – name it BG
Flood fill with white – Layers, Arrange, Send to Bottom
Hide Snow 1, Snow 2, your name and credit layers
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Open Animation Shop (AS)
Edit, Paste as a new animation
Open your Animation of choice – I used Animation13
Duplicate your tag so it has the same amount of frames as your animation
On the Animation – Edit, Select All, Copy
On the Tag – Edit, Select All, Paste into Selected Frame

Back to PSP
Layers, View, None
Now unhide Snow 1, Snow 2, your name and credit layers
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Over to AS
Paste as a new animation
Duplicate so it has the same number of frames as your animated tag
Edit, Select All, Copy
On your animated tag – Edit, Select All, Paste into selected frames
Line it up where it should be
Save as a gif file
All Done
