Winter Angel

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Font of Choice – I used Times New Roman & Blossom
MuRa’s Meister – Copies
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
RD_MaskSet135_Mask2 by Rachel

I used the awesome artwork of Molly Harrison
You can purchase her work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Molly’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 500 x 500 and flood fill with grey #98979E
Select your preset shape tool with these settings:
Shape: Ellipse / Anti-Alias & Create as Vector: Checked / Line style: Solid / Width: 5.00
Or a shape of your choice
Set your foreground to a color of choice, background set to null
Draw out a shape approx 300 x 300
Objects, Align, Center in Canvas
Convert to raster and rename Frame

Copy and paste your image as a new layer – rename BG1
If you image DOES NOT fill the shape – Effects, Plugins, MuRa’s Miester – Copies
Use the Wallpaper (rotate) with the default settings
Adjust, Blur, Radial Blur

Duplicate this layer – rename the copy BG2

On BG1
Effects, Art Media Effects, Brush Strokes

On BG2 change the blend mode to Soft Light

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer – rename Tube
Position within the Frame where it looks best
Resize if needed, I resized to 65%, all layers unchecked
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: -2 / H: 5 / Opacity: 30 / Blur: 11.88 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked
Duplicate the tube and on the copy – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 6
Change the blend mode to Overlay and reduce the opacity to 51

Select your text tool and choose a bold font – I used Times New Roman
Set your foreground to null background set to the color of your Frame
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your text of choice, I wrote ‘Winter Angel’
Position so it fits within the frame where you want it
I placed mine towards the bottom
When happy convert to raster – rename Text 1

Grab your selection tool with these settings:
Selection type: Rectangle / Mode: Add (Shift) / Feather: 0 / Anti-Alias: Checked
Draw a selection round the text (wider than the frame) and a couple of pixels larger

Add a new raster layer and flood fill with white
Selections, None – rename Rectangle
Change the blend mode to Soft Light
Move this below the Text 1 layer

Activate Text 1
Change the blend mode to Luminance (Legacy) and reduce the opacity to 65

Select your Magic Wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Activate the Frame and select outside
Selections, Modify, Expand by 3 pixels
Press delete on ALL layers where there is something outside the Frame
Selections, None

Activate the Frame again
Effects, 3D Effects, Inner Bevel

Adjust, Add/Remove Noise, Add Noise
Gaussian & Monochrome: Checked / Noise: 25%

Duplicate and rename the copy Top Frame
On the original Frame layer
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 6
Press Shift + G to open the Gamma Correction
Set all 3 values to 0.40

Activate Top Frame and duplicate, renaming Base Frame
Move below the original Frame layer
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Activate the grey background layer
Flood fill with a complimentary color of choice – rename Mask
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for RD_MaskSet135_Mask2 or mask of choice
Source luminace, Fit to layer and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group

Activate the top layer and grab your text tool
Choose a font, I used Blossom
Set your foreground to null, Background set to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name and position where it looks best
Convert to raster
Apply the same Inner Bevel as used on the Frame
Apply the same Gradient Glow as used on the Frame, changing to color if required
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: -2 / H: 3 / Opacity: 30 / Blur: 3.96 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Add your artists copyrights and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
All Done

I also made an animated version of the original tag, I have not tutted how to animate as I used Photoshop and I am the first to admit it confuses the hell out of me! I am no where near confident enough to try to instruct someone else on what I did *sorry*
