Presents For Santa

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Font of Choice – I used Dazzling Divas
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
Mask300 by Vix
Maryline Cazenave Tube/Scrap Bundle pkg 53 by Foxys Designz

I used the awesome artwork of Maryline Cazenave
You can purchase her work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Maryline’s work without purchasing a license first.

Remember Tube/Scrap bundles can ONLY be used with that artists work, you can use ANY tube from that artist, not just the tubes from the bundle, but you CAN NOT use another artists tubes

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 550 x 550 and flood fill with grey #929292
Open Element6 and resize to 450 pixels high
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Frame
Grab your Magic Wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance:35 / Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Click on the white part of the Frame
Selections, Modify, Expand by 1 pixel
Selections, Modify, Feather by 1 pixel
Press delete and Selections, None

Open Element1 and resize to 40%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Sack
Position bottom right of the Frame
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 2 / H: 5 / Opacity: 36 / Blur: 9.90 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Open Element20 and resize to 40%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Present 1
Position to the left of the Sack, then move below it on the layer palette
Selections, All, Float, Defloat
Selections, Modify, Feather by 2 pixels
Selections, Invert – press delete a couple of times
This will get rid of any white edge of the ribbon from resizing
Add the same drop shadow

Activate the Sack
Open Element9 and resize to 40%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Present 2
Position in front of Present 1 slightly overlapping the Sack too
Selections, All, Float, Defloat
Selections, Modify, Feather by 2 pixels
Selections, Invert – press delete a couple of times
This will get rid of any white edge of the ribbon from resizing
Add the same drop shadow

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer – rename Tube
Resize if needed, I resized to 55%, all layers unchecked
Position on the opposite side to your Presents and Sack
Add the same drop shadow

Open Element33 and resize to 55%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Snow
Move below your tube layer
Position along the bottom of the Presents and Sack

Activate the Frame
Click inside with your magic wand – same settings as before
Selections, Modify, Expand by 3 pixels
Open a paper of choice – I used Paper5
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Frame Fill
Selections, Invert and press delete on your paper
Keep Selected

Copy and paste another paper as a new layer – I used Paper 11
Rename Frame Fill 2 and press delete
Selections, None
Move Frame Fill 2 below Frame Fill on your layer palette

Grab your Magic Wand again – same settings again
Select the red stripes that you can see – press delete
Selections, None
Activate the Frame and add the same drop shadow as used throughout

Activate the Grey background layer
Add a new raster layer – rename Mask
Selections, All
Open a paper of choice – I used Paper11 again
Copy and paste into the selection
Selections, None
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for Vix_mask300 or one of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Erase any mask you can see below your tag at the bottom

Add a new raster layer – name it Mask Fill
Move below the mask layer
Grab your freehand selection tool with these settings:
Selection type: Point to point / Mode: Add (shift) / Feather & Smoothing: 0 / Anti-Alias: Checked
Select around the parts of the mask that are visible behind your tag

Now flood fill the selected area with a color of choice – I used #c4Ac6B
Selections, None
Adjust, Add/Remove Noise, Add Noise
Gaussian & Monochrome: Checked / Noise: 25%
Repeat the noise, but check Random instead of Gaussian, other settings the same
Activate the Mask layer and add the same drop shadow

Activate the top layer
Select your text tool and choose a font – I used Dazzling Divas
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name and position where it looks best
Convert to raster and rename Name 1
Effects, 3D Effects, Inner Bevel

Adjust, Add/Remove Noise, Add Noise
Same settings as before Gaussian & Monochrome, then repeat with Random & Monochrome
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Duplicate and rename the copy Name 2

Activate Name 1
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Add the same noise again (both monochrome & random)
Add the same drop shadow to this layer
Activate Name 2 – Layers, Merge, Merge Down

Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Delete the grey background layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
All Done
