Let’s Party

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
Animation Shop
Tube of Choice
Fonts of Choice – I used Arbbie Bubble and Rollcake
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
MaskHalloween2012-8NotHallow and Mask469 by Vix
Animation of Choice – I used Ani1609 from pkg535 by Rebel Designz
IB-EliasChatzoudis-114-2 by Karmalized Scraps

I used the awesome artwork of Cuddly Rigor Mortis
You can purchase her work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Kristin’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 500 x 500 and flood fill with Grey #929292
Open Element (6) and resize to 400 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Cluster 1
Move down and to the left on the canvas
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 2 / H: 5 / Opacity: 37 / Blur: 9.90 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Activate the Grey background again
Open Element (8) and resize to 400 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Cluster 2
Position behind Cluster 1 where it looks best to you
Add the same drop shadow as used on Cluster 1

Activate the Grey background again
Open Element (31) and resize to 30 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Clock
Position where it looks best, partially hidden by the Clusters
Add the same drop shadow as used on the Cluster layers

Open Element (21) and resize to 400 pixels high
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Flowers 1
Position behind Cluster 2, slightly overlapping the Clock

Erase any flowers you can see below the clusters
Add the same drop shadow

Activate Cluster 2
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer – rename Tube
Resize if needed, I resized to 35%, all layers Unchecked
Position where it looks best
Add the same drop shadow

Activate the top layer – this should be Cluster 1
Open a paper of choice and resize to 500 pixels – I used Paper (5)
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Mask 1
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for Vix-MaskHalloween2012-8NotHallow or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Position over the Clock where it looks best

Move down below the Clock layer

Activate the top layer again
Open another paper of choice, I used Paper (3) and resize to 500 pixels
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Mask 2
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for Vix_Mask469 or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Position on the opposite side the the clock

Move down below Mask 1 layer
Duplicate and on the copy, change the blend mode to Multiply and reduce the opacity to 71

Activate the top layer again
Select your preset shape tool with these settings:
Shape: Ellipse / Anti-Alias & Create as Vector: Checked / Line style: Solid / Width: 5.00
Set your foreground to any color (I used Black), background set to null
Draw a circle round the clock

Do Not Convert to Raster

Select your text tool and choose a font – I used Arbbie Bubble
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Position your cursor over the edge of the circle until you get a +A) or +T) type symbol
Add your text of choice, I wrote Let’s Party
Please ignore the fact my text is black on the screen shot

Do Not Convert to Raster the text

On your layer palette, click the +/arrow to open the layer
Hide the Ellipse layer

Once hidden, convert to text to raster
Rename Text 1

Duplicate Text 1
Working on the original Text 1 layer
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Repeat the gradient glow changing the color and adding an extra tab

Add the same drop shadow as used throughout

On the Copy of Text 1
Effects, 3D Effects, Inner Bevel

Hide the Grey background
Crop away any excess canvas
Increase the canvas size to 550 x 550, central placement selected

Activate Copy of Text 1, which should be your top layer
Select your text tool again and select a font – I used Rollcake
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name and position where it looks best
When happy, convert to raster and rename Name
Duplicate and on the original
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 1.5
On the Copy of Name
Apply the same Inner Bevel as used on Copy of Text 1
Add the same drop shadow as used throughout BUT change the H to 2

Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits and your own tagger watermark as a new layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png

To Animate
Add a new raster layer and flood fill with white
Layers, Arrange, Send to Bottom
Hide these layers: Tube, Cluster 1, Text 1, Copy of Text 1, Name, Copy of Name and credits
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Open Animation Shop (AS)
Edit, Paste as a new Animation

Staying in AS
Open your animation of choice – I used RebelDezigns Ani1609
Resize and rotate if required, I resized to 400 pixels high and rotated 180 degrees to the right
Check how many frames the animation has
Now duplicate your image until it has the same number of frames

On the animation – Edit, Select All, Copy
On the image – Edit, Select All, Paste into selected Frame
Position the animation where it looks best

Back to PSP
Hide the layers you can see (Layers, View, None)
Now unhide the following layers: Tube, Cluster 1, Text 1, Copy of Text 1, Name, Copy of Name and credits
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Over to AS – Edit, Paste as a new animation
Duplicate so it has the same number of frames as your image
Edit, Select All, Copy
On your Image – Edit, Select All, Paste into selected Frame
Position where it should be
Save as a gif file
All Done 🙂
