Goddess Of Green

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Fonts of Choice – I used Dulcelin and Halimun
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
RD_Mask817 and RD_Mask856 by Rachel
IB-SheenaPike-4-1 by Chaos Priestess

I used the awesome artwork of Jennifer Janesko
You can purchase her work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Jennifer’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 550 x 550 and flood fill with Grey #929292
Open El20 and resize to 55%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename BG
Duplicate and rename the copy – Top
Change the blend mode on Top to Screen

Open El11 and resize to 90%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Leaves
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V&H: 3 / Opacity: 45 / Blur: 8.91 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked
Move this below the Screen layer

Open El10 and resize to 90%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Heart
Add the same drop shadow

Open El16 and resize to 65%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Flowers
Move to the right slightly
Add the same drop shadow

Hide Top layer for a moments and activate the Heart
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer – rename Tube
Resize if required – I resized to 55%, all layers unchecked
Position where it looks best
Duplicate and on the original – add the same drop shadow
Change the blend mode to Luminance (legacy)
On the copy – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set 10
Change the blend mode to Overlay
Unhide Top

Delete the grey background layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Activate Top
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible to New Layer
If you don’t have this option – Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged – Paste as a new layer
Rename the new/merged layer – Blur
Image, Increase Canvas Size to 550 x 550, central placement selected
On the Blur layer – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 14
Change the blend mode to Overlay and reduce the opacity to 69
Move this layer below the Top layer

Activate Top layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Select your text tool and choose a font – I used Dulcelin
Set your foreground to null and background to Black
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your text and repeat so it covers the width of the canvas
Note: I set the text to red just for the screen shot so it visible

Objects, Align, Center in Canvas
Convert to raster and rename Text 1
Duplicate and on the copy – Effects, Image Effects, Offset

Keep duplicating and offsetting (with the same settings) until the top half of the canvas is covered

Hide ALL layers except the Copy of Text layers
Ensure Text 1 in hidden too
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible – rename Text
Layers, View, All

Activate Text 1 again
Duplicate and on the copy – Effects, Image Effects, Offset

Keep duplicating and offsetting until the bottom half of the canvas is filled too

Hide ALL layers except the Text layers
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible – rename Text
Layers, View, All

Have the Text layer active and ensure this is the top layer (Layers, Arrange, Bring to Top)
Open RD_Mask856 or mask of choice in PSP and minimise
Layers, New Mask Layer – From Image
Choose RD_Mask856 from the drop down menu
Ensure you have checked the Invert box

Layers, Merge, Merge Group

Layers, New Mask Layer – From Image
Choose RD_Mask856 from the drop down menu
Uncheck the Invert box this time

Layers, Merge, Merge Group
This should leave a faint text over your image, if you want it a bit clearer, change the blend mode to Hard Light
I erased the text off the face of my tube, but this is up to you

Add a new raster layer and name it Base Mask
Layers, Arrange, Send to Bottom
Selections, All
Copy and paste a paper of choice into the selection – I used Paper1
Selections, None
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for RD_Mask817 or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group

Activate the top layer and select your text tool
Choose a font – I used Halimun
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name and position where it looks best
When happy, convert to raster
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Add the same drop shadow

Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
All Done 🙂
